    Yes, they do, but I would recommend you have an accelerator
card installed if you use anything higher than a 14.4K modem on
a IIgs (especially in the case of Spectrum).

    As a matter of fact, I just picked up a USR 33.6K external
this weekend for $25 Cdn from a second hand shop. It'll work
on my IIgs, though rather than put it there, I stuck it on my
Pentium so I no longer have to share the 14.4K with the IIgs.
For the time being that arrangement works fine, though it may
see some use on the GS if some applications eventually appear
for Marinetti 2.0 (now with PPP support!).
