Great overview of the IIGS. A few minor points...
- The Mark Twain wasn't any faster than the ROM01 or ROM 3.
- The Mark Twain did have a built-in SuperDrive, but the firmware only
supported it as an 800k drive.
- There were 2 megs on the motherboard, but it was expandable by use of 1
meg SIMMs, maxing it out at 4 megs.
- The hard drive was a 40 Megabyte Quantum drive.
Not that any of it really matters, as the machine was killed by Apple before
it was ever released...
If anyone is really curious about the Mark Twain prototype, there is a 90
minute videotaped "guided tour" available from Matthew Pearce of the
GravenStein Apple User Group.
That's still available, isn't it Matt?
