You should be able to use MacWorks on your XL without any problems. Lisa
software looks strange because the Mac XL has square pixels instead of
rectangular ones.


There are two differences betweeen Lisa 2/10 and Mac XL:

1) different ROM chips. These are standard EPROMS, get the images and
someone who owns an eprom burner.

2) a transformer that changes the horizontal deflection ratio. It is
connected between the video board and the horizontal deflection yoke.
With the transformer installed the video board needs more power,
sometimes the +5V supply had to be adjusted. 
Check the 5V line after removing the transformer, the voltage must not
exceed 5.25 V.
