"Flagship IIe" ===== This just means the most full-loaded computer that
you have or use. (I have nine IIe's, several IIe's, several IIgs, and
two IIc Plus.) This "fleet" requires a "flagship" of each major model!
The PLATINUM IIE was the last IIe produced. It has fewer ICs on the
motherboard, its enhanced, but mainly it is the grey-colored plastic and
has the numeric keypad at the right edge of the attached keyboard.
The "Plat IIE" is the preferred IIe to use when swapping a IIgs
motherboard into the CPU. Two of mine at "Plats" ----- wish I bought that
one I saw at Portland OR Goodwill in August ---- it was just $20 bucks!
