Monitor help??

The monitor I am using with my ][e is malfunctioning, it is a Magnavox RGB by
the way (looks almost just like my Commodore 1902 monitor :) ). The picture
just starts fading away until the screen is blank. If I whack it a couple times
the picture comes back for a while, but then fades again. Is this baby on it's
last legs or is there something that can be fixed (without having to throw it
against a wall or something? :) )
