I used to use the web interface for reading the message on Delphi but
switched to using an offline reader once I got a telnet account.

I did notice recently, though, that Delphi has created a "preview"
page of message in the forums. I think this is so that people who
haven't signed up for an account yet can sample what the message
boards are like.

However, if you are getting this preview page, you aren't actually
logging in to Delphi and therefore Delphi has no idea who you are or
what messages you have already read.

If, when you go to read the messages on Delphi, you are asked for your
username and password, then you are actually logging into Delphi and
it should only show you new messages that you haven't read.

In summary, if you are reading messages on Delphi and the URL contains
the word "preview", then you are not logged into Delphi and there may
be messages showing that you have already read. To log into Delphi
and read the A2 forum, use the following URL:

     http://forums.delphi.com/m/main.asp?sigdir=apple2

Make sure that you have your browser set to accept cookies from
Delphi, otherwise this URL will only take you to the preview page.
