That sounds pretty cool.  If you have a TV that has Video/Audio
inputs, you could use a Video Overlay Card in the IIgs to display the
messages on the television screen instead of the BetaBrite board
(which is what I am assuming displays the messages over the television
video).

The actual program he is using could probably be rewritten in GSoft
BASIC quite easily.

Then, all he needs to add is a little infrared remote to plug into his
IIgs so that he doesn't need to use the keyboard to clear the
messages.  :-)
