If you are buying a IIe, you want to be sure that it is an enhanced
IIe with the extended 80-col card so that you have an Apple2 which can
run "128k" software. Such a machine (in 'good' condition with a clean
case and keyboard) should sell for around $30 or so.

The main problem with trying to specify a "typical price" is that
prices vary widely depending upon where you look. For example, at a
local school sell-off sale, you might get an enhanced IIe with disk
drives for a ridiculously low price. Prices will be a bit higher at a
swap meet.

On-line auction prices are higher still, but, usually, sane. Prices
from 'established' Apple II vendors are, generally, pretty high.

So, with a price range of $5 to around $100, about the best you can
say is that "most of the time" $30 will get you an enhanced IIe in good
condition.
