Well, yeah, when I first started I had an Apple 1M on my ROM01 and it
ran okay -- the lowest memory I'd suggest is 3/4 of a meg (according to
a System error window seen when running imageQuant sometimes).  But...

There's more to life (and GSing) than living under a shiftboot.  :)
Two megs is functional if you don't do anything really involved; more
is handy if you really like DA's and/or work with graphics.
