There's also Medley, now classified as free as I understand it.  (I think
it's on ground.)  It's a bit slow, and it's limited to 32 page documents,
but it has seemingly more flexibility than AWGS.

OTOH, I do almost all of my work in AWGS, and I have no problems with
anything except the database module (and that only on large databases).  I
_don't_ preload, though.
