I want to start up Dark Castle BBS again, site 15 on Futurenet. I
finally got a working GS again (using Bernie on my Mac).
In a few months my computer has permanent internet access
(http://dboomsma.sci.kun.nl) and the plan is to have my BBS running via
my Mac. The problem is that I need a program that does telnet-to-Bernie.
The authors said such a program won't be done, but this is an emergency
call from my side... so if some programmer is reading this and could
accomplish the task of writing such a program, I'd be more than
thankful.
Back till november last year I had about 10 calls per day. The weekend I
got back (and when my GS went down) the system even had an overseas new
user :)
Anyway, so far I haven't got the BBS running because I need GSHK on
Bernie. A .sea file from the ground ftp-site isn't recognized by GS/OS
as a program file. I can't change the filetype of the programs with OS
6.0.1. A few more weeks till I might have it running, but then again...
I need a program that directs incoming telnet calls to Bernie. Once such
a program exists, I'm sure that quite a few Apple II BBS's will show up
again!
