I think there's a program on Ground that patches Dungeon Master so it runs
on both a ROM 3 and a hard drive (although it leaves System 6.0.1 corrupted
so it's best to reboot when done playing.)  I could be wrong, it's been a
while since I played Dungeon Master...since before I upgraded to a ROM 3.

But I did have it running off of my HD.
