External hard drives used with a IIgs are usually SCSI types. A
good interface card is the RamFAST from Sequential Systems: $109.95--
see info at
http://www.sequential.com/ramfast.html . Sequential's number is

A popular alternative is to get an IDE type 'hard disk on a card'--
everything is on a board you plug into a Slot; so, there is no external
box or cable to mess with. Alltech probably still sells the 80MB version
of the Focus 'Hard Card' with System 6.0.1 already installed for around
$110 ...
