GS <==> PC Hookup

Ok...never having paid much attention too all the various articles on 
transferring files from the GS to a PC and back again, I need to ask one 
question.  Is there an acceptable ready-made cable to go serial-to-serial 
from the GS to a PC either Mini-8 to DB-9 or Mini-8 to DB-25?  I.E. can a 
high-speed modem cable work or is this a make-yer-own cable?  You can 
point me to a file on ground or whatever for the info.

P.S.  I know how to make the transfer, just need to make sure of the cable.
