I don't.  I'd call it stating an opinion (the card is flawed),
pointing out the flaw in question (use of standard slots) and
justification of opinion (slows down data).  The comments were
made in a professional manner; to me "slamming" means unprofessional.

In what fashion would you recommend getting that point across?
Or do you not consider it worth making?
