I never said that in the strictest sense. You can certainly
write a game for the Second Sight, but it will be limited to
extremely small or simple animations. Cogito is a perfect example
since it is a sliding puzzle game, where most of the time your
staring at a static screen. Falfus (the only other game written
for the Second Sight) is another sliding puzzle game and similar
in concept.

When people talk about computer games, animation is one of
the first things that pop in to your mind. Whether you want to
believe it or not, the Second Sight hardware is too slow to
move graphics around quickly (this doesn't even take into
account the GS's bus speed, I'm just talking about the card
independently).

Odd, I never once commented on Cogito in this forum or
any other public one, yet here you are, once again, adding
nasty comments about my "grumblings" in another one of your
posts. Gee, for someone who was so against Nathan's style
of posting--where he'd editorialize things and always add a
reference to a specific person for having an opposite view
(and doing his best to insult them in the process)--you are
starting to act not so much different.

You know, I'm completely open to hearing opposing views,
sometimes I'll say things in error and not know I was wrong
until someone else corrects me. That's the nice thing about
a discussion forum, we *learn* from one another. I also feel
if you have a constructive critcism concerning something,
you should feel free to state it and not have to worry about
hostile attacks and verbal abuse resulting from it. When
there is something for the Apple II that deserves praise, I
will go ahead and praise it. When something has weaknesses
or faults, I will say so and lay out my reasonings to back my
feelings up (and doing my best not to offend the person who
is responsible for its creation). Would you rather I just
blindly praise everything made for the Apple II, simply
because development has hit near rock bottom? There are
other ways to boost morale.

Finally, I *like* the Apple II (in all forms) and because
of that fact, I like talking about and discussing the Apple II.
Unfortunately, I'm finding flames personally directed at me
a big turn off. I give up a lot of my spare time participating in
this group and all I get in return are having to look foward to
the latest insults from you. I basically feel like I'm wasting
my time here and could be doing better things with that time.
I'm not trying to make a cry for attention here, I am just stating
how I feel and why I think so many people have left this group.
Don't be surprised if I'm suddenly absent from comp.sys.apple2
one day very soon.
