Re: new Brutal Deluxe game

More on your new Brutal Deluxe game for public consideration
follows; The documentation restriction which prohibits anybody from giving a
copy to me, seems to have been broken by the author himself. I have to admit I
found this rather amusing!

There was no block or restriction that prohibited me from a direct download
from their website link to their ftp site. Thus, I do have
a copy of it, which I downloaded myself from their ftp site. So, in reality,
they gave me a copy of the program, themselves.

Having a Second Sight card active in my IIgs, I can certainly varify
(personally) on the dazzling and very impressive 256 color graphic difference
of this 'Special Second Sight Card Only' version of Cogito over the original
limited color SHR release of Cogito.

The standard IIgs (without a Second Sight card) has the ability to display 256
color SHR graphics. I've seen this in other IIgs games before. I wonder why
the original Cogito program they released never supported the display of the
origial Mac version graphics - with 256 color SHR graphics?

But, this new release of Cogito it's of no useful value to any person without a
Second Sight card active in their IIgs and of course - it won't run via any
IIgs emulator. That's ashamed, not being able to run it on any IIgs emulator.
I wonder if it would run on a IIgs emulator if somebody wrote a Second Sight
card hardware emulator to compliment IIgs emulators?

I've seen a CP/M card emulator for the Apple II models and that works with IIgs
emulators also. So, I know that hardware emulation for Apple II and IIgs
emulators is possible. Now there's an interesting concept for the IIgs
emulator authors to consider working on.

Cheers,
Tom
