I think you are doing yourself a disservice here. Most of the people
who would be interested in your emulator frequent
comp.emulators.apple2 and not comp.sys.apple2 because they either
never owned or no longer own a real Apple II.
People who own and use their real Apple IIs frequent comp.sys.apple2
and have little to no need for your emulator so why would they be
interested in reading about it?
Besides, how many people in comp.sys.apple2 actually have the hardware
(fast Pentium II) or operating system (Windows NT) to be able to use
your emulator? Not me and I'm sure that most of the other users are
in the same boat as me.

So why bother increasing the noise level by making inappropriate
posts?

If there were 5000 post of irrelevant information a day being posted
to this newsgroup, I probably wouldn't mind the XGS32 threads being
here because they would blend in with the rest of the noise and they
would just be another thread I would have to have my news reader
ignore. However, as there is a small amount of irrelevant information
a day being posted here, the XGS32 threads stick out like a sore
thumb.
By the way, I read all the Apple II related newsgroups and I don't
feel that there is any segregation at all. Except for possibly the
difference between the groups for discussion of real Apple IIs and
discussion of emulated Apple IIs because there are a lot of people who
use emulated Apple IIs that don't use real Apple IIs.

If you aren't concerned about organization and making it easier for
people to find information about your emulator, why don't we start
discussing XGS32 in a thread called "Fluffy Bunny and the Carrot
Catastrophe"?
Without organization many people will never see any posts about XGS32.
If I have a question or comment about an emulator, I'm certainly not
going to come to comp.sys.apple2 to post about it. Just like I
wouldn't come to comp.sys.apple2 to make a post about the Mac,
Windows, cars, televisions shows or my favourite musical group.
If I want to talk about emulating an Apple II, I go to
comp.emulators.apple2. I do this every day at the same time I read
comp.sys.apple2 as I have all the Apple II related groups marked as
subscribed in my news reader.
So I will repeat my request that discussion of XGS32, and any other
Apple II emulator, be moved to comp.emulators.apple2. If there are
people in comp.sys.apple2 interested in emulating an Apple II on
another platform, make sure you subscribe to comp.emulators.apple2.
