Back when CompuServe was a text based online service, they
offered all sorts of esoteric information including AP news and
TV listings.  Remember, this was before the days of the World
Wide Web.

Now of the above computers, the Apple IIGS and the Amiga
both offered genlock cards....cards that could combine a video
signal with a computer graphic.  Therefore, using a combination
of an Apple IIGS or Amiga, compuserve, and a VCR, one could
find out a TV show on CompuServe and then watch it on an
Apple IIGS or Amiga computer monitor.
