Underpowered? Not really, since it's as fast as the first round of G3s.
Overpriced? It's less than a IIgs with monitor used to cost.
Unexpandable? Well, it could use more options than just USB. But you can add
memory and modems and stuff yourself.
Proprietary? See USB.
Another observation: you seem under the impression that iMacs are the only
thing Apple is selling these days. They still make the normal G3s along
with the fastest notebooks you can buy. The iMac is for bozos who barely
know which end of a computer is up.
