But seriously; are you sure the Jaz cartridge you use is OK? If you run
Disk First Aid on it, does it check out fine?
What is a "normal Pm"? Do you mean a normal PowerMac? And if so, what is
abormal about the PowerBook? (apart from the fact that it's a 5300 which
thinks it's a 1400) And what is the error message you get exactly?
Does it always halt at the same file it tries to copy? Are you sure the
file is OK? Could you copy it to, for instance, a floppy disk, without
errors? What if you try to copy the files not all at once, but one at
the time?
