Yes it was. To use other disk sizes, the system has to be patched. And
rather thoroughly too, to avoid creating a system that can work with
3.5" disks only!

I'm pretty sure I have a program which creates bootable 3.5" DOS 3.3
disks somewhere. If I find it, I'll tell you its name.
Don't know if such a disk would be recognizable under GS/OS. This needs
testing.
