most people wanting venture capital like this need to make a prototype
first...a small risk then if/when via various publications/demos/newgrou
p discussions..it is shown it does what it claims to do..then viola you
get the 1000 buyers......i know it entails risk on the part of the
person making the motherboard...but limits risk to potental buyers..and
thus he/she should be able to get more purchases..thats why they call
them prototypes

so if he can get a kludge version prototype going wirewrapped or
whatever demo unit..i'm sure there would be a lot more hype about it and
maybe even free help for software or other demo stuff he may want to to
run on it
