DOS 3.3 is designed to be a 5.25" only file system.
If you want to format a 3.5" disk under GS/OS, you need to use
either the ProDOS file system or the HFS (Mac) file system.
The GS recognizes four file systems on 3.5" disks. These are:
Pascal (read only)
MS-DOS (read only, but a shareware desk accessory can write)
ProDOS (read and write)
HFS (read and write)
All work on the standard 3.5" drive. MS-DOS requires a SuperDrive
or Floptical or PC floppy drive.
