I didn't see the original post so I'm replying to this one.
PicRipperII is more useful for getting screen captures of programs
that lock you out of the text Control Panel (CTRL-OA-ESC). This is
usually games that you are trying to get screen shots from. You play
the game until you get to the screen you want to capture and reboot
the machine with the bootable PicRipperII disk in your floppy and it
will save the contents of the SHR screen to disk for you.
However, the question was how to do screen captures with GS/OS. This
I do with the Variable Timed SHR Screen Saver (in my Desk.Accs folder
it is called SHR.ScreenSaver; in the Classic Desk Accesories screen,
it is called SHR Variable Timed Save) by Dale T. Taylor which was
updated by Tony Ward. This CDA allows you to select a time from 5 to
45 seconds in 5 second increments. The CDA will wait this long before
saving the SHR screen to disk. This is handy if you want to do a
screen capture of the contents of a menu or other things that might
require some setup.
This program should be available from most of the Apple II FTP sites.
I know it is available on Genie and Delphi.
