Speaking of the arcane--
Since there seems to be some collectors on this NG:
I just found (in the barn again) a perfect Forth for the Radio Shack TRS80
Model 100 Software Library. Says developed by AMP, was actually done by Glen
Haydon for Mountain View Press as MVP-Forth (I was the "Forth Doctor" at MVP
before I went to work for Raskin). Perfect condition in plastic "book" style
holder. This is a cassette tape, intro manual and display case.
A must have for anyone with a much coveted Model 100? Goes with the MVP-Forth
book series for instruction. Hey, I have a bunch of them too.
Now for the wonder of wonders:
A Matsushita Quasar Division Portable Computing System. This is an incredible
set of components that plug together in a pattern to form a "computing System".
Handhelf Computer
I/O section
RS232 section
16K Programmable Memory block
Color Plotter
TV adaptor
ANd an advanced scientific calculator which is a floating point Forth that
works like an HP calculator.
Its all in a leather large but slim attache case that is unmarked. Therre is
one empty place for an additional memory module I think.
The pieces can be plugged together in various configurations depnding on what
you want to do.
This thing is from 1982 and is incredible. Serious inquiries invited and I will
scan a picture or some of the docs for the curious.
