Ground FTP Site

Does anyone know if this site is still active?  I use to be able to access
it, but lately, my unix has been printing an "unknown host."

It's the ground.isca.uiowa.edu site.

I'd like to get a good block editor to edit stuff in my hard drive, can
anyone recommend a good one?  I've used block warren and prosel-16 in the
past but I don't have access to them anymore because of a harddrive crash.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
