Sorry for that. I get Asimov and your cabi.net site mixed up, since
both contain copyrighted material, and both have a policy of "I'll
let it go up, and I'll only take it down if the copyright holder
finds out and asks." However, I'll grant that this isn't the best example
to use, and confine myself to TGE.
That said, I don't think that my post was misleading or partial on the
topic of TGE. I said that you had put one of Roger Wagner's products up
for general access in advance of any word from RW about the status of that
program. I called that disrespectful of a person who has given one hell of
a lot to the Apple II world, and (judging from the school grant program
for HyperStudio GS) has not forgotten it.
I'd have no problems with the following alteration to your standard
operating procedure.
1. Contact the copyright holder (Was step 2)
2. Secure permission to share the product with the world (Was step 3)
3. Put up the software for general download (Was step 1).
