Boy I'd say pretty lean prospects of building a cable like that. The D
connector has three rows of pins, and I've never seen that type anywhere
else. Highly unlikely that it's obtainable.
If you weren't in Australia it'd be easier to get. I went to one of the
computer stores on my usual circuit to find a card for my Color Classic and
they had a half doaen or so in a box. I got the card, cable, and software
for $10.
