They were the only ones officially registered with the organization
that keeps track of FAQs for the newsgroups. I can't remember the
name of the organization right now but I believe it was rtfm.com or
something.

No, he isn't. From what I've heard, he isn't going to be a KFest this
year. Besides, he wasn't always like his nasty posts. He did post
some good messages without any inflamatory material which answered
people's questions. He also posted corrections to others posts when
the got something wrong. He has a lot of knowledge about the Apple II
and can be quite civil when he wants to be.

People got answers before, and people will continue to get answers
now. It really doesn't change much because there will always be
people who just can't leave well enough alone and just have to post
nasty things. One person leaving isn't going to make that much
difference. Look at all the times Charles Turley left, things
continued pretty much the same while he was gone and when he came back
again.
This is just my opinion on the matter, of course, but I really don't
see things changing dramatically.
