Howdy,
GEOS was a great GUI for the Apple IIe series. Produced by Berkely Softworks,
GEOS
had the full compliment of applications. It worked just fine on a standard
Apple IIe enhanced
with a DuoDISK drive. Unfortunately, GEOS required a little card that plugged
into Slot 7
of the Apple IIe. Basically, a very early dongle system. I actually have the
card still, but
not the software.
You also really needed the Apple IIe Mouse. Too bad its not classified as
freeware.
