     If the idea is to just transfer files back and forth between a
couple machines, it is easy to link two computers using a NULL-modem
connection.

     Technically, this is an Apple II (not Mac) newsgroup. For
information on a PC-Mac network connection, a Mac user should be able to
help; so, this message is being cross-posted to comp.sys.mac.system.
