Gee, I didn't know that. Honestly. I thought I roughly knew what the
hardware was all about, but I didn't know that the bit patterns were
programmable.

But why $400 for hires? Isn't $100 enough?
I can imagine different bit patterns for main mem than for aux mem, so
that you'd need $200 bytes, but that still leaves $200 bytes of unknown
territory. Hm, color and B&W maybe?
