That's a possibility, however there was also a 25xx series of mask
ROMs, parallel to the 27xx EPROMs and 28xx EEPROMs.  The
L in the middle would indicate low power version.  It could be a
512 byte slot ROM.  You might try disassembling the address
space allocated to the card to see if you find a company name/
copyright notice.  The pots suggest adjustable voltage or timing
circuits, which wouldn't seem needed for a printer card, which
was one of the other suggestions.  I don't really know what it is,
just throwing out ideas.
