These are just my educated guesses:

I     -----     about 400
][    -----     perhaps 100 thousand?  What was the first ][+ serial #?
][+   -----     about 1 million
][e   -----     about 6 million
][c   -----     about 2.5 million
][c+  -----     not a lot - they were US only.  100 thousand, if that?
][gs  -----     1 to 1.5 million

As to variants of each model: no idea about numbers, but there were
three major releases of the IIe (original, enhanced, platinum), two of
the IIc (original and memory expansion motherboards, plus ROM upgrades
and a minor motherboard upgrade for serial port improvements) and two of
the IIgs (original and 1MB motherboards).

Not forgetting the IIe emulation card for the Macintosh LC family, of
course...

Does the Apple /// count for this discussion (no idea about numbers
there either)?
