Re: filesystem programs

To which I'd like to add: I agree with Mitch on both being life savers for
obtaining a copy of a bad disk and making it a good functional disk again with
the copy made. I guess ZZCopy is still classified as freeware. But, Photonix
II is no longer freeware. It's public domain now and has been for several
years.

The final incomplete v2.50 of Photonix II was given to me will full rights, all
files for it on disk and with the src. codes by the copyright holder Olivier
Goguel several years ago to do whatever I wished with it.

After several attempts by several friends that were very good programmers to
compile it and do an update with no success and after the distribution lic.
Oliver contracted with BRCC to sell it had expired, I released it with all
files and src. code to public domain.

And for the information of Willie Yeo for your use with the Treasure Chest
Project, I have ample letters of transfer and documentation to prove the public
domain release by me of Photonix II was completely proper in all respects.

Both the administrators of Caltech and Ground, as well as several others within
the Apple II community obtained varification from Olivier Goguel before they
released the disk archive of it to the public.

BTW Willie, the same goes for; NoiseTrackerGS, SSS Sound Editor, and the
SoundAce IIgs Sound Editor, which the copyright holders of transfered all
rights to me and as the legal holder of the copyrights to them, I elected to
release them all to public domain.

Should you require varification, I have the original hand written letters still
available and will gladly send you a
digitized copy of them upon your request.

Cheers,
Tom
