     A lot depends upon who eventually gets behind the idea. For
example, should Woz come across Mike's posting and decide to promote the
project, participation might easily approach many thousand users. If
'contributions' were framed as shares in a new II Computing Company--
say $25/per share and a max $250 contribution by any individual--
participation could be even larger.

     Suppose, though, that we start with something simpler: Mike sets up
his "Buy Apple II" page and accepts pledges for $25 shares with a limit
of ten shares per user? We would have a guage of user interest in the
idea and no money would be involved until there was a deal with Apple.
