     2007 seems like forever. Even so, ...

     Supposedly, in the years leading up to 2007, there would be
developments in whatever platforms happened to be competing. Each of
these 200x platforms would be a powerful machine-- awesome by our
current standards-- and one might well be Apple's Super II series.

     So, if, in 2007, you have a machine which is compatible with "every
computer and console ever created", you would appear to be talking about
some 'leapfrog' technology coming on-line in the 2007 time frame. If
it's there and the price is sane, great! What sort of technology do you
have in mind?
