the guestion i have is ...how hard have people tried to contact authors
to get there current pricing or release of old stuff as freeware...?

could we not list some authors to contact here and see if we can get a
reply or current email address or something..i'd think with as many
people as we have here some of this stuff could be reclassified as
freeware//or at least some type of get it out again at whatever price
the author wants to charge for it now

and then if nothing else..list the email address of the author/his
price/the software status (freeware/whatever) and try to keep adding to
this list occassionally ..a FAQ of software types authors...at least the
list would contain those folks who REALLY don't want to release there
stuff as freeware/or have killed it w/no support and or current authors
who what cash for their stuff cause it is new/current

maybe we only find 1 author out of 20 ..but at least it is a list more
or less
