Gabriel, we would all like to see the Apple II continue on. If we got really
lucky, Apple would sell the rights to the machine and the buyer would release a
modernized GS (backwards compatible of course). I know I'd be in line to buy
one.

You know there has been a lot of talk about piracy scaring off new development.
I guess I don't buy that. If someone wants to profit from writing software, he
or she is not going to stop development because someone might pirate his/her
software. He or she is going to develop the software and sell it to as many
people as possible. The philosophy of not developing because your software
might get stolen is just a cop-out to avoid writing software. It's very easy
for me to come on to CSA2 and say that I was going to right a game that is
similar to Carmaggedon for the GS but because there are pirates who might copy
it I've decided against the project. And as long as there are pirates out there
I elect not to develop anything new for the GS! That's hog wash! It's not being
developed because no one has the time to program elaborate software for a
machine with a dwindling base. Th eonly people who are going to develop for the
GS are those who love the machine and don't care if they won't get rich from
their efforts. To those people, I salute you. Castle Wolfenstein falls into
that category! Great work! It should have been sold, not given away. It would
be worth $25 to $35. SuperConvert 4 was another worthwhile program, even with
its few bugs. I bought SUperConvert (again) and would have paid cash for Castle
Wolfenstein. There are a lot of us who will pay for new software and hardware.
To steal (pirate) from A Field of Dreams, "build it and they will come." Build
it and we will buy it! Don't believe the garbage that you read from Mr.
"Official" Mates!

It's time to support this machine. It is time to quit the whining and the
bickering and the arguing over piracy! Piracy should be added to topics like
religion and politics! Avoid them if you want to avoid confrontations.
Developers-write the software. Build the hardware. We will buy them!
