I am sharing an internet account with a friend, and hotmail is the only
e-mail I have. If you read the terms and conditions in my signature, you
would find that my address is Slick_RCBD@hotmail.com

Slick is a nickname that my grandfather gave me.

I was formerly posting as MarkWesty@hotmail.com, but my mother kept
insisting that I change it to something more anonymous. My best friend
also said the same thing, as well as everyone else who knew my address.
I am Mark Westergaard. I have been on this newsgroup only since August
'97. Before I had this computer, I was on comp.sys.apple2 at my local
library. Do you remember when AHML Patron use to post here? That was me.
AHML stands for Arlington Heights Memorial Library.

Hotmail only gives you a 2MB mailbox and I was starting to get SPAM with
lots of XXX banners that took up lots of space in my mailbox. This is
bad enough, but my local library, Harper colledge, and my mother all
have a no porno policy. If someone had seen the XXX crap that was
cropping up in my mailbox, I might be kicked off the internet. The last
straw came when a friend tried to e-mail me an important file, but he
was unable to because my e-mail box was full of spam. I hadn't checked
it in two weeks. I decided to charge the spammers for the space they
wasted. Read my terms and conditions for bulk e-mailing. Removing the
PAY from PAYSlick_RCBD@hotmail.com is PROOF that the spammer has read
and accepted the agreement. Since then, I haven't recieved a 1.5MB junk
e-mail message advertising some porno site with free samples. When I do,
I'll send a bill for $1500 and take the spammer to court.

did for my high school last year. It is NOT Apple II related in any way
except that I wrote some of the HTML with AppleWorks GS (the archive
pages) and made the .ZIP archives on a PC Transporter.

I can no longer be reached at the address mentioned at it as I have
graduated from the school. As far as I can tell, the teacher has not
found a successor to maintain and update the web page.

MarkWesty@hotmail.com still exists, but is dormant and I don't check it
very often. It is impossible to reach anyone at the AHML Patron address.
After the friend who shares this account visits me, he sometimes forgets
to tell me he changed the identy in Netscape to his settings. As far as
I know, Brainy@mc.net himself only posted to comp.emulators.apple2 once
in a question about XGS on a 68K Mac.

I hope this clarifies who I am and what my position is. It should
explain all of your critisisms. I know this was a long and rambling
post. Some people say I tend to give out too much information in my
explinations, but I would rather give out too much information than too
little. I know how critical certain small details are in telling a story
or stating your position. I never want to leave out small, but critical
details.

Example: In second grade, my teacher wrote home the following note to my
mother:

During recess today, Mark struck another student during recess today
with a snowbrush.

She left out the fact that the student was a fifth grader who was
bigger, stronger, meaner, and was tring to beat the $!@#%@ out of me
while the teacher just stood there and watched.

I never want to be the teacher who leaves out the small but important
details. I wonder if Cindy Waters saw me on the honor roll at Rolling
Meadows High School? I hope so, and I hope she remembers the name.

I'd better send now. I just timed-off the phone and this long winded
post is turning into an autobiography. I have to redial the ISP now.
