There aren't any Apple I I specific boards near me. But then, there
never has been. :)

I'm still thinking of trying to track down a BBS with Fidonet access
so that I can start reading the International Apple Echo that is
carried on it. The biggest reason I haven't been doing the local BBS'
is that I've become spoiled by my ISP and don't like having to deal
with the constant busy signals from the local BBS'.

If I can find a local BBS that doesn't change its menus every couple
weeks (like the last one I had that gave me Fidonet access), then I'll
set up some Spectrum scripts to keep dialing until I connect then
download a QWK packet and upload any replies for me.

I still like the idea of local BBS' because of the fact that they are
local. I used to go to BBS parties all the time and got to know the
users better. Not to mention that the stuff that is posted for sale
doesn't need to have shipping charges added to the price. :)
