GS Batteries, LCD displays, Robot programming, 2.5" HD's, ... stuff

In case you are looking for ...

IIgs "Bat RAM" battery-- All Electronics lists two 3.6V 2.5AH Lithium
batteries with wire leads which should fit well in a ROM-01 GS for $3.50
each. There is a 3.6V "AA size Lithium battery" ($3.50) which looks good
for computers with AA size holders.

LCD displays-- All Electronics and MPJA offer a number of surplus LCD
panel displays at low prices.

Robot programming-- MPJA carries a good selection of the Parallax BASIC
Stamp controllers, modules, and accessories popularly used for Robot
programming (e.g. the Lynxmotion Robot kits). A good source for current
projects and info is Nuts & Volts magazine.

2.5" IDE drives-- Scott G has posted suggestions that Focus Hard Card
drive owners should consider swapping in higher capacity 2.5" hard
drives. Alltech lists several in a recent Nuts & Volts ad (e.g. 80MB at
$25 --- 120MB at $35 --- 420MB at $59).

74xxx IC's-- Apple II experimenters are noticing that these are hard to
find at sane prices. If you're thinking of building a parallel I/O
board, etc. for your Apple II, Halted Specialties lists 74xxx, 65xxx,
and many other IC's and parts at reasonable prices.
