Actually, the RamFast problem was that my _combination_ of cards would
not work together (RamFast, ZipGS, SecondSight, Sirius). The reason
for getting rid of the RamFast was to get my SecondSight to work
with the rest of the cards.
I did have the original Sirius which _did_ cause problems in my
ROM 3 if I left the 8th SIMM slot empty. You are correct in saying
that my adding a SIMM allowed my system to behave with the original
Sirius card. However, I could never get it to work with DMA active
on my Apple Hi-Speed SCSI card. Since then, I've had it replaced
with the version 2.0 Sirius card. I now can have DMA active but
am still having troubles if I add more than 4 MB to the card.
Please note that I have a _very_ finicky system and that my
experineces may not reflect what other users may encounter.
Paul.
