Re: Need Help Downloading
There are a couple other things I should mention. First of all, I have
had problems downloading ShrinkIt archives via HTTP with Netscape
Navigator 3.0, 3.0 Gold, and 3.01 on the Mac, Netscape Communicator 4.0
on the Mac, Navigator 3.0 on a Windows '95 platform, and Navigator 3.0
Gold on a Windows 3.1 machine. Both versions of ShrinkIt have a 50-50
chance of successfully extracting the file. This problem only occurs
when I use HTTP to download. Gopher and FTP transfers work fine.
Second, Fork Splitter can be used to remove resource forks for file
already on ProDOS volumes, and HFS Link can do the same job as A2FX. HFS
Link looks more like the IIe version of ShrinkIt.
