I would recommend removing the disk from its jacket, and then placing the
disk between two lint-free cloths. I would then place several heavy books on
top of the cloths and disk, in order to press down on the disk and remove

I agree that you will need to remove the jacket from the media--I say
it that way because you risk creasing the media further by straightening
the jacket enough to remove it.
If you can get the media out without further creasing, you may find that
the crease is not "deep" (or "sharp"), but is a shallower, wider-radius
crease--which would be a real advantage.
If the crease is sharp, then it may take a long time to flatten it
enough to read. Temporarily increasing the pressure pad pressure
will help. Steaming the media may also help, but as a last resort.
