I wrote a program called ConvertForks that will work on any Apple II. It
processes a volume and replaces all forked files with two files: one is
the data fork, the other is the resource fork. The data fork can then be
processed with ShrinkIt or anything else that wants unforked files.

ConvertForks can be found on the ground archive. Let me know if your can't
find it.
