Well, I don't see things as strictly as you. What really counts is the
amount of cross-posting. If a Mac user posts accidently in the wrong
newsgroup, guide him gently to the right path and forget the matter.

I think the "Boycott Microsoft" thread is of general interest for all
computer platforms, and I think thisk is the reason why it was posted
in so many newsgroups. Don't forget: The imperialistic attitude of this
InfiniTumb persons has destroyed almost all computer systems on the
market, including the best of all - ours! ;-)

If you enter the #appleiigs chat channel you will easily get a
conversation about the tremendous egoes and the sex life of certain
AppleII programmers, but you will hardly be able to start a
GS conversation! On the other hand, if you restrict postings
only to A2-related stuff, the newsgroup traffic may be much less.

I think a small amount of cross-postings won't hurt. Creative programmers
and users should not hide in their ivory towers, they should try to
discuss things with owners of other platforms. Looking over the brim
has never been a bad thing... :)
