: By the same reasoning, this forum would be an appropriate place to discuss
: cross-pollinating various species of apples, I suppose. Or perhaps a good
: place to discuss the merits of apple-shaped women. Or a good place to share
: apple recipes.
Only if Apple Inc made products related to cross pollinating and Apple shaped
women.
: Sheesh. How many Mac newsgroups are there? Ten? More? And yet I have to
: wade through endless Mac garbage in this newsgroup as well.
If you don't find passing references to the latest Apple happenings useful
or interesting, learn how to use your newsreader's kill thread feature. I
use it a lot here myself so I don't have to read the same old crap being
rehashed endlessly. It spared me from all that VAMPS crap way back when,
and is getting a good workout on the boycott Microsoft and visi.com - lies
and slander crap these days.
: For myself, I would like to see all of the Mac posts, pirating rants, and
: Microsoft-bashing posts go away. I just can't take this group seriously
: when it has such a poor focus. Yes, the iMac is fascinating but it doesn't
: belong HERE. The pirating issue is important but doesn't belong HERE except
: in the case of currently-sold titles. The DOJ bashing of Microsoft is going
: to devastate the PC industry, which may be cheery news for Mac lovers but
: DOESN'T BELONG HERE.
Don't read it then. Complaining only clogs the group further.
