I do not know about your particular Mac. Since a computer usually
has just a single small internal speaker (devoted, mainly, to BEEPs), CD
sound normally gets routed to a computer's sound subsystem, mixed in,
and sent to an external amp and speakers via the sound outputs.
Technically, this is an Apple II newsgroup. A Mac user on, say,
comp.sys.mac.advocacy may be able to supply better information.
